    A Most likely the app you are using, I had to try several apps before I found ZEPP that has been working continuously for me.
  2. Q Is their a app for the watch?
    A Yes, the watch pairs specifically with an app called Zepp. You will need Zepp on a phone to set up the watch properly.
  3. Q Will this track and didplay all the sleep satges: light, deep, REM, etc?
    A Yes the Band 5 is able to track and display all the sleep stages: light, deep, REM.
  4. Q Can I wear it as a pendant?
    A No unfortunately you are not able to wear it as a pendant.
  5. Q Does alexa work with this thing yet? Do you have to have your phone with you for alexa?
    A Yes Alexa has always worked with Band 5 since inception , and yes your phone has to be within Bluetooth 5.0 range (800 ft) as the band doesn't have Internet connecting by it's self
  6. Q When I swipe on the screen, I get to a screen that says "can't get song name". What does mean?
    A Probably means you're not playing music through Alexa? I'm not sure.
  7. Q How do i get spo2 and eeg on here?
    A The Band 5 is not able to measure for ECG. Please go to the SpO2 app by swiping up from the main watch dial on the Band 5 to take a manually measurement.
  8. Q Can I use this with a moto g power android 10?
    A Yes you can use the Band 5 with a moto g power android 10.

  11. Q Knowing it will work with the iOS iPod touch do you have to have the device near you and with you in order to use it ?
    A Unsure about comparibility with the device as I used it with an android, but with mine it worked throughout the house while my phone was left in a room, but there were spots out in the yard where I would not get notifications until I was closer. I'd say it started getting spotty at 150-200 feet or so.That being said, my device stopped recording any useful data or receiving notifications within two months, and I got about one month of solid wear from it. It was just outside of the return window when I started wishing that I could return it. I would personally advise against this model.

    A Yes as long as it is using iOS 10.0 and above
  13. Q Does the amazfit track calories all day and give you total or does it only track work outs when you activate workout mode?
    A It will be able to track your calories all day but only based on your step count and activities recorded.
  14. Q Can you select which folder (in phone) which music plays from?
    A Yes. Example open Spotify or Pandora or whatever music app and select play. The song selected will show on watch when you select music.
  15. Q My charger is hanging next to a lamp (body is metal), is it okay if I let it "stick" to the lamp? Will doing so shorten the charger life?
    A Probably not damage or shorten the life.
  16. Q How do I change the login (email address) on my band 5?
    A I do not have the answer handy, but if you go to the page displaying the band down near the bottom is a link to download a user guide. I remember seeing your issue addressed in it.

    A On there Watch go to Strength training sports mode , you will be able to monitor heart rate , calories burned and even reps and sets

    A Yes.But GPS is not available when phone is off.
  20. Q I'm seeing several reviews saying it doesn't pair well with the app. How often does this happen? I'm on android.
    A Same here with my Android phone, can't get past the 'pair first' screen on the watch and the Zepp App should be renamed the 'Zero App' for how it 'functions'.....guess I'll pack it up and return it.
  21. Q How do you get Alexa to work? It’s not showing on the app
    A Please make sure the account's set age is 13 or above for Alexa to be displayed on the Zepp app. If it is below that then Alexa is not an available option.

    A Please swipe down from the main time dial to Workout. Select swimming from the workout list to start recording your swimming data. I have attached a video on how to unlock the screen to end the workout since this mode will automatically lock the screen.

    A Yes you can use all the features with Alexa disabled. Yes everything tracks automatically without the use of Alexa.

  27. Q If I set an alarm on my Alexa app, will the alarm go off on the app?
    A If you ask Alexa to set the alarm on the Band 5 then it will only set the alarm on the Band. If you set an alarm on the Alexa app on your phone then it will only go off on your smartphone.
  28. Q Do any of the womens amazfit have a second hand for nurses?
    A On the Amazfit Band 5 there isn't a second hand , however on our other models like the GTS and GTR series they do
  29. Q Does it tell you when someone texts you?
    A Yes the Band 5 is able to receive the text notification directly on the band.
  30. Q Does it have the Russian language?
    A Yes, It does, along with many other languages. Just purchase the global version.

  32. Q Can you play music through the alexa app on the device?
    A You will be able to tell Alexa on the Band 5 to start playing music for a connected device. The music is not able to play directly on the Band 5.
  33. Q If lost, can you use the "find band" feature to have it make a noise verses just vibrating?
    A Unfortunately the Band 5 does not have any speakers to make any noise. So it will only be able to vibrate when you use the find band feature.
  34. Q What does it mean when the graph on Zepp app for heartbeats per minute shows a blank space while I’m wearing it?
    A The blank space will represent that it was not able to measure your heart rate at that specific moment.
  35. Q Sleep tracking not working !!! ( I installed the app and turned on health monitoring so don't say to do it ) , how do I get it to work? Thanks
    A If it is not monitoring your sleep at night time then please try to factory reset the Band 5 and re-pair it back to the Zepp app to see if that will resolve the issue. Also make sure the Zepp app and Band are up to date for the best results.

    A No the Band 5 does not measure BMR (basal metabolic rate).
  37. Q Where is the screen duration setting? It times out before I get to see test results!!
    A This setting will be under More. Swipe to More and go to Settings -> Auto screen off.
  38. Q will this unit properly pair with a samsung galaxy a20 smart phone?
    A Yes the Band 5 will be able to pair with a Samsung Galaxy A20 smart phone.
  39. Q Two answers said that it would fit a 5.5 inch wrist and another said the minimum is a 6.2 wrist. Which is correct?
    A This fits my 9 year old wrist and my adult wrist no issues.
  40. Q Will my workout sync with phone via bluetooth or without a internet connection?
    A The data recorded on the Band will sync via Bluetooth to your smartphone.
  41. Q In the us, will it monitor stress levels continuously and automatically or only on demand? same goes for spo2 - thank you
    A Contrary to what Amazfit Support states here, Sp02 is not automatically monitored. Stress levels are, in theory. I get huge gaps in my stress readings, sometimes hours at a time even though heart rate levels appear to be getting measured. I've only been using this tracker for four days now and am a little concerned at how inconsistent the readings are. Stress is sporadic. I got two nights of sleep measured just fine, the third night NOTHING and the fourth night back on again. Something is a little flakey.

    A Yes there is a charger it is about 18” long Check your packaging as it isn’t very obvious easy to ditch with the other packaging

    A The Band 5 is not able to track basal metabolic rate.
  44. Q Is there any such thing as tech support for this item?
    A I have not looked for tech support from the manufacturer, but if you search online for "Amazfit Band 5 Fitness Tracker Problems" you will find many answers. If you take the time to play around with the app on your phone you will be able to solve any issues you have. I am using the Zepp app.
  45. Q is there a replacement band available with a buckle? The original band keeps falling off.
    A You will be able to find third party bands that might have a buckle on Amazon.
  46. Q How do you change the weather location?
    A You will be able to change it through the Zepp app. Open the Zepp app and go to Profile -> Amazfit Band 5 -> Weather settings -> City.
  47. Q Is one of the sport modes yoga?
    A Yes. According to Amazfit, the Band 5 has 11 sports modes: outdoor running, walking, cycling, treadmill, pool swimming, freestyle, indoor cycling, elliptical, jump rope, yoga, and rowing machine. I can't comment on how well it actually works it monitoring any of those modes.
  48. Q Can it be linked to my kindle fire tablet instead of a smart phone?
    A No , it has to be connected to a Smart Phone initially , then it can be connected to an Android tablet or an iPad , but kindle doesn't run on Android OS so it won't be able to connect to a kindle
  49. Q The alexa feature does not work on my amazfit band 5. I already followed the instructions, there is no amazon option under add account in profile?
    A I returned mine for the same issue then got a replacement that did the same thing - no alexa. Here's the trick: Go-to your Zepp app, next go-to Profile and finally got Add Account. Then add alexa account. To test it after it updates your interface, swipe right on your watch face until you see Alexa. It has no wake word, you have to swipe. It functions at a basic level but is connected to your other devices. Hope this helps.

    A No the band is not able to allow for drop-ins.

    A yes the heart rate monitor show live heart rate on the Home Screen throughout the day

    A the charging cable that is used on the Xiaomi mi band 5 will also work with the band 5

    A Officially I can't say the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 replacement bands will fit the Band 5 as I have no official information on the Xiaomi Mi Band 5, I would recommend contacting the 3rd party sellers selling the replacement bands to request if they fit the Amazfit Band 5
